  • CanaryWall Climbing Centre 21-23 Trinidad Street London, England, E14 8AA United Kingdom (map)

Representation in climbing extends far beyond introducing newcomers to the sport—it's about amplifying diversity. Black Girls Hike are committed to breaking barriers and making climbing accessible to all. This introductory session is your gateway to bouldering and discovering the wonders of the climbing world.

A certified instructor will lead you through a hands-on and informative session delving into:

  • Safety: Learn essential bouldering safety practices to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.

  • Technique Mastery: Discover the fundamentals of bouldering technique to elevate your climbing skills.

  • Maximizing Climbing Sessions: Uncover tips and tricks on optimizing your climbing sessions for maximum enjoyment and progression.

Upon completing the bouldering introduction session, you'll gain access to a vibrant and supportive community. Starting from spring 2024, you will be able to join our weekly BGH Bouldering Club Socials where you can put your newfound skills into action in the presence of fellow beginner climbers and a certified instructor. Connect, climb, and thrive in an inclusive environment with fellow climbers passionate about embracing diversity in the sport.

Please watch the Induction Video and complete the Registration Form online here prior to arriving at the centre.

Any t-shirt or gym top and leggings will be fine. Our ideal choice would be a slim-fit, stretchy, breathable, moisture-wicking t-shirt along with active wear leggings. Please also wear a removable layer like a hoodie or fleece to keep warm during rests.
