Black Girls Hike: North West - Frodsham Circular Walk

Circular route, 2hrs 30mins including breaks. There are no facilities or cafes along the route. Great walk with some lovely views, through a bit of woodland which has a steep and can be muddy or slippery in parts along the river so good footwear is recommended.Circular route from Frodsham town centre. The first 1/4 of the route is uphill, the middle undulating and the last 1/4 downhill. Several muddy sections and the path is narrow in sections. Wonderful views across the Mersey estuary and across to Wales. Toilets available at the start and end of the walk. Walking boots are required. Some may prefer to use poles on the steeper sections

CAN I COME TO BLACK GIRLS HIKE?

As the name suggests, this is a safe space for Black/Mixed Race cis and trans women and non-binary people of Black African and / or Caribbean descent who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of Black women. We are not a BAME, POC, BIPOC, WOC, Politically Black or Ally organisation.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

  • Walking boots / shoes with ankle support essential. No pumps or sliders.

  • Food and water

  • Extra layers

  • Waterproof jacket

  • Rucksack

  • Please ensure any medication is bought with you e.g., asthma pump or epi pen
