Black Girls Hike: South West - Slaughters Circular

Meeting time: 10:15 (meeting point will be detailed in the confirmation email)

Start time: 10:30

Distance: 7.5 Miles

Difficulty: Moderate - Circular route, starting in the village and walking along the windrush river. It can be muddy when wet so walking boots recommended. The route is varied, some hills, fields, woodland and rocky paths. There may be animals grazing in the fields. Toilets at the start and finish. 3 hour walk including breaks. Moderate terrain, can be muddy and uneven in places.

How much is it? Suggested donation £5 As a registered non-profit, your support helps our

community grow. Enabling us to provide opportunities for Black women across the UK to

explore and reconnect with nature.

Can I come to Black Girls Hike?

As the name suggests, this is a safe space for Black/Mixed Race cis and trans women and

non-binary people of Black African and / or Caribbean descent who are comfortable in a

space that centres the experiences of Black women. We are not a BAME, POC, BIPOC,

WOC, Politically Black or Ally organisation.

What do I need to bring?

Walking boots / shoes with ankle support essential. No pumps or sliders.

Food and water

Extra layers

Waterproof jacket

Rucksack

Please ensure any medication is bought with you e.g., asthma pump or epi pen
